In the sling with Mom, one of the afternoon spots to be.
Well, we are all getting a bit more comfortable. Things are easing along. And things for Ezra would be absolutely perfect if no one put him down. Ever. Our little man is making up for those first 2 weeks of not being held! I find myself doing the anxious first time mother routine: question everything. Over and over and over again! This week I can start to laugh at myself and relax a little, knowing that I'm not alone in my thinking (thank you all mothers who have gone before) and knowing that all is well. Baby schedule or not. Seems all the books I read on baby sleep, etc, have really made a mess of things upstairs, if you know what I mean. There are so many "schools" of parenting out there, that someone's bound to believe you are doing it all wrong no matter which style you choose. Today I am in a more peaceful place, believing that Ezra is being loved perfectly, far beyond what any book might teach or preach. There is no love like a parent's love.
Though Ezra's grandparents may beg to differ.

ReplyDeleteYour son is so beautiful! What a tough dude. Glad to hear Ezra is healthy and happy. Natalie: though we've not met yet, I'm inspired at your honesty and faith that God's hands are protecting and guiding your family. I appreciate reading about your experience - reminds me that I am not the only new mother who experiences all the ups and downs of getting to know her kid.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your beautiful family!
I'm so happy for you and will pray for continued healing for Ezra. Thank you for sharing your life, thoughts, and family with us.

He is absolutely breath-taking, you two! Your all-consuming love for him makes me smile, and the pictures of his chubby face smiling make me laugh out loud! I can't wait to meet him. He seems incredible, just like his parents.
