Ezra Unplugged
Well, at 10:55 this morning, Ezra was taken off the ventilator and is now breathing solely under his own ability. He is still receiving oxygen, antibiotics and medication for his blood pressure, but he is doing much better. It sounds like Natalie will be able to hold him tonight.
We would like to thank all of you who have been with us in prayer, helping us with food and small errands. We would also like to thank you all for sharing the news of the birth with others. Natalie had a great email set up with his photo and everything, but we have been unable to send it through this network. It will come soon.
Many thanks.
Grace and Peace

We miss and love you three! I'm so excited to see he is improving so quickly, way to be a Rude. I mean that in a "we dont' quit" kind of way, not a we laugh at the same jokes every Christmas kind of way.
ReplyDeleteWe love you!!!
Hi sweet grandson - you are our favorite grandson! We are so happy to hear that the vent is gone. Anxious to see you soon, and get some hugs and cuddles. Love you, Grandpa and Grandma Rude.

Natalie and Josh,
ReplyDeleteI had a great talk with Barb last night, and cried so much after we hung up. Am crying now. I remember leaving Tryg in the incubator when I took Noah home. It's very tough. I'm praying that God will reach through the glass and send the love to Ezra that you are giving him in your heart.
He looks very healthy, and pretty handsome for a newborn :.) I bet he's a fighter and that's what will get him through this.
Love you guys from the Waterhouses
